Decision that is needing some help.

My mother has been real sick lately due to some illness that eats away at your muslces until you are tired and feel like doing nothing. I think it is Fibromyalgia (sp?). My aunt told me that she has been getting a lil worse. It worries me to know that she could be down at the house with no one there to help her. I am thinking about coming home and going to school in Wise. I do like school here but the football just isn't fun anymore. I still want to play but not here. I do not know if I would play at UVA-WISE or not, but I know I would consider it greatly. I just do not know what to do. My mother is hands-down the most important person to me but in the same time she tells me not to worry. I know she wants me home but doesnt want me to leave Emory & Henry. Just please think about this then write me something that might be able to help me out.

I would say, that if you can get the education you want at UVA-Wise (remember, college is about education, ultimately) then come home and go to UVA Wise.

Think about it this way:
Do you want to trade a few more years with your mother for a few more years of football?
She may want you to stay at E&H, so it may actually take some convincing.

Follow your heart.

When you're old and grey, are you going to look back and say:
I wish I had more time playing football
OR
I wish I had more time with my mother

This is easy: You all know what a sports nut I am, but when it all comes down to what REALLY matters, family is all you have.

Football= OVERRATED
Spending Time that you never know how much you will have with your mom=NUFF SAID!

Unchained hit the nail on the head. I am sure if you wanted to continue your football career that UVA-Wise would welcome you to the team. If not you can still get a great education. I'm sure your mother would love to have you closer to home. Just follow your heart man. The decision is yours. I'm sure you will make the right decision.

Think the world of you CJ. As i sure your mothers think twice that much. All i can say is UVA-Wise educationally is not a bad place to get one.
I know your mom loves you and wouldn't want to jeopardize, your education.
But you know what it is all about. Family first. If your miserable how can you have any fun or enjoy your time at E&H.
Your decision man. But if i could get the education close and be with family that i love and is ill. I'd chose the latter.
We can always get our education, but we will not always have those we love with us.

I think that you're the only one that can actually answer that question, CJ. You have to do what's best for you, and your situation.

Btw....I used to work with your mom and she's a good woman. I hate to hear that. I hope she recovers quickly.
